Foundations of Design: Representation
Through this semester’s study, I have initially concluded the basic knowledge of architectural design. In the four modules, I was introduced to different software and tools. Through continuous learning and practice, I have completed four assignments excellently. These four modules seem to be tasks in different directions. In fact, they help us form the inertial thinking of the conversion between two-dimensional and three-dimensional step by step, and enhance our creativity by creating a lot of basic graphics. In m3 creation, I spent a lot of time to study grid and panel, which laid the foundation for my later products. I also carefully designed the relationship between cloth and gold belt. In the process of M3 practice, I gradually became familiar with the operation and layout of rhino, which saved me time in learning M4. M1 is the first assignment and also the one I am most impressed with. After continuous production and repetition, this assignment has successfully delivered satisfactory results. Summing up the learning experience of this semester, I think I still need to strengthen my time management, and discuss my ideas and understanding of the works with the tutors in the future study. Personally, I feel very satisfied and proud of the achievements of this semester. Although there are still deficiencies, but I believe they can be improved in the future study. I hope you enjoy this portfolio that presents the work I produced throughout this semester.
