In this task, we were asked to build a deck limited to 36 square meters. Considering the curved edge and the maximum cantilever of the effective wood, it is particularly important to check the wood information and calculations. Taking into account the characteristics of wood susceptible to moisture and rot, wood needs to be kept at a distance from the ground. The surface of the deck needs to be smooth for people to sit, see and chat. The deck is actually supported by a frame composed of joists and bearers, and the optimal spacing can better bear the load. In my design, the ladder is set beside the wall and the other side is against the deck, which can save space and plan people's movement routes reasonably.
