From my painting sample, it can be identified that there is a long and narrow shadow area in the middle of the sample and on both aides are raised humps. The left side of the painting sample is base on the transparent silk and clothing edge decoration. There is a triangular area separate fabric and decoration. In my terrain sample, it has a depression in the middle which remind me to connect my fabric with the terrain. The combination of light and shadow can be obviously seen from both of my samples. Because the protrusions and depressions of my fabric are interlaced, I do an in-deep study on them. I found that the grid study with offset points function can help to adjust the alignment of terrain which make the image wrinkles more obvious in the late stage.
The synthesis effect of the work is completed by analyzing the relationship between the artwork and the terrain and then using software operations. The combination of two-dimensional and three-dimensional can well show the wrinkles of the fabric. The terrain and the painting samples have common characteristics. They are combined by finding common depressions and protrusions, creating triangles and different points. By looking for the rules of drawing, the lines are smoother, and the depressions and protrusions are more distinct. I created a zigzag grid and combined three complex triangles to make the final presentation multi-level. By placing the artifacts on the painting to show the sense of space from two-dimensional to three-dimensional, further drawing makes the artifacts full of visual impact and creativity. The three complex triangles in my work can be regarded as the highlights. It makes the depressions more concentrated and at the same time makes the protrusions more obvious. All in all, I am satisfied with my work as a whole, of course, there is room for improvement in some areas of my artifact.
